What we collect
Account details (email); the career context you enter (field, current role, metro, target, optional current compensation); your evidence and career-timeline entries; and product usage analytics. We do not sell your personal information.
How we use it
To compute your metrics, routes, brief, and job matches; to run your account and billing; and to improve the product. Your dashboard numbers are computed from your own data and compared only to your own past — never ranked against other users.
Who we share it with
Service providers who run the product on our behalf: our database/auth host, payment processor, email provider, analytics, and the AI provider that phrases coaching text. Job listings come from Adzuna. We share only what each needs, under their terms.
Your California (CCPA/CPRA) rights
If you are a California resident you may request to know, access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold, and to opt out of any “sale” or “sharing” of it (we do not sell or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising). We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights. To make a request, email privacy@careervector.co. (Specific CCPA disclosures, categories, and verification steps require legal review before launch.)
Retention & security
We keep your data while your account is active and as needed for legal/operational reasons, then delete or de-identify it. You can delete your account, which removes your personal data (subject to limited legal retention). We use industry-standard safeguards; no method is 100% secure.
